Today we’re spotlighting the delightful and delicious Parker’s Pantry. We checked in with Parker herself to see what’s going on at the coolest lunch spot on the park!
1. What’s special about Parker’s Pantry?
Our mission is to feed Columbus some good food! I opened the Pantry because I truly enjoy watching people enjoy my food. It’s a gift and I want to share it with Columbus.
2. What do you love most about being located on Lakebottom Park?
We love the constant activity and the people that the park brings to the area. Midtown has accepted us with open arms and it has been wonderful.
3. What’s coming up for your business?
More variety! We are constantly experimenting with new recipes keeping us fresh. Our soups are all made from scratch here at the Pantry and we introduce new ones along with new cold salads and sandwiches all of the time.
4. What’s your favorite meal in the city?
Every time I make something at The Pantry and taste it and think it’s the best thing I’ve ever eaten so that’s really a moving target.
5. Favorite home in the city?
My favorite home in the city is the old Martin house on Brookside Drive. My husband and I looked at it 20 years ago and should have bought it. It was so unique and well built. I hope the years of neglect did not do too much damage. I know the new owners will do it the justice it deserves.
You guys must get into Parker’s Pantry soon! Tell Parker we sent you!
