From a brand new coffee shop in Old Town a couple of weeks ago to a classic local favorite in Uptown this week- we’re committed to making our way to a neighborhood near you!
Fountain City Coffee is doing great things in their little corner of the universe. We went in to meet the crew last week and got to catch up with co-owner, Libba Dillon. Here’s our interview!
1. What’s special about Fountain City? Fountain City is a Family run business. What makes us unique is we roast all our own coffee a couple of blocks from our shop so our beans are guaranteed to be fresh. We have about 10 -13 different roasts that we offer. Also at Fountain City, we are all about the arts and our customers that is why you will find our walls covered in Garry Pound sketches of people who frequent the shop.
2. What do you love most about being part of Uptown?
I love the vibe of uptown and the sense of community. I love that people can walk into the coffee shop and they are more than likely going to run into friends. Uptown has really grown and we love that we are in the middle of it.
3. What’s coming up for your business? We have some things on the horizon that we can’t reveal yet but I can tell you it’s going to be sweet….
4. Favorite meal in the city?
I love the experience of the chef’s table at Epic
5. Favorite home in town?
I just love old southern houses.
And this community has plenty of those! With its smart and creative energy, small bites, and live entertainment- Fountain City is serving up a lot more than just great coffee. Go pay these guys a visit and tell them The Brady Blackmon Team sent you-you won’t regret it!
